Sunday School Bulletin 4.27.14

Please join us in the Sanctuary this Sunday at 11:35 a.m., for our Yom Hashoah Service. The seventh grade class will lead this special service. All are welcome. The students, under the leadership of teacher Judy Kleiman and Art teacher Phyllis Levun-Agostino, have studied the Holocaust and created some meaningful artwork, which will be on display Sunday.

On Sunday, May 4th, 11:30 am. -12:25 p.m., Rabbi Ari Moffic, Director of Interfaith Family/Chicago will lead an interactive discussion for parents who did not grow up with Judaism. The session is about how to raise your children with a sense of the sacred, holy, or spiritual--exploring Jewish bedtime food and eating rituals, marking time with meaning on a weekly and yearly basis, doing good deeds, loving learning, playing, praying, and more.  RSVP to eddirector@shir-hadash.org.

No Sunday school on May 11th. Happy Mother's Day!

Just because Sunday school is almost over (May 18th is the last day) does not mean we won't see each other until Fall. The Education Committee, Cindy Salomon, Mady Fern, Rebecca Rice, Marc Fargotstein, Lisa Radzely, Carole Mostow, and  Dawn Allen are planning some fun get-togethers over the summer! These ideas came up as a result of our newly formed parent advisory group. Thank you, creative people.
