Kindergarten through Third Grades have been working on a special dance that will be performed at Lights and Miracles (this Friday!).  Ocho Kandelikas is the name of the song translated from Ladino and it means Eight Little Candles.  Ladino is a dialect from Spain and the language has been associated with the Sephardic Jewish community of the 1500's.  This particular song was the first creation of Ocho Kandelikas by Flory Jagoda who created it when she was 60 years old.  She is now in her 90's and still teaching!
