We had very busy October Sundays at Shir Hadash! We held a beautiful Sukkot celebration (see photos below), got a new class pet in the third grade;-), and began selling World's Finest Chocolate as a fundraiser. We also studied Hebrew, Torah, and a lot of Jewish history. One highlight was a visit from our grad student Karyn and college senior Scarlett, original members of our "It's a Girl Thing" girl group we began when they were about thirteen and twelve. They took the opportunity to share a bit of their experiences with our present sixth grade girls, who are about to enter into their own group. Perhaps we can get these two to help lead!
